Great to meet you here! I am Yong-Han, a master's student in computer science at the
University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Before starting my graduate studies, I built NotiManager to improve people's notification experience.
I also studied users’ experiences with NotiManager using mixed methods, and the findings were published at ACM UbiComp 2024, a top-tier conference.
During the research and development process, I was fortunate to work with and be advised by Dr. Yung-Ju Chang.
In the past, I did my undergrad in computer science at
National Yang-Ming Chiao-Tung University (former: National Chiao-Tung University).
I also worked in the Human-Centered Design Lab at Polytechnique Montréal as a research intern,
and at Xaduro (a travel tech startup) as a software engineering intern.
My journey is connected by a consistent set of values. In this information-overloaded era, I want to make it easier for everyone to explore the world. With this goal in mind, I have built applications for the travel industry, and this coming summer, I will join HERE Technologies, one of the world’s leading mapping tech companies. Right now, I am building applications to reduce information overload, including in the contexts of notifications and digital media.
